Art helps put a spin on the way we perceive life, even if it is only for a moment. At times, staring into a painting is like looking in a mirror, it helps us not just see, but also reflect. The purpose of my art is to visually stimulate the viewer both emotionally and intellectually. My goal is to develop another perspective during their experience. It can be perceived one way, but hopefully it takes their thoughts into a completely different direction. The psychological and yet simple ideas that portray positive growth in the mind and spirit is what I want to leave the viewer with. bio: Traeger di Pietro was born in Salem Massachusetts in !976. He attended the University of Orono, Maine and earned his studio arts major. After college in 2000 he moved to the island of Martha’s Vineyard to create art where he still lives.
