A renewable fashion brand using off the rack garments to create distinctive pieces reflecting today's dynamic streetwear culture. Approaching each garment as one of one, giving the customer a personable experience.
Made by Mena is an innovative brand defining a new direction in the apparel industry. Providing the industry with a cleanly produced, sustainable, and eco-friendly product.
High-end recycled fashion brand based in New York. The brand consists of recycled garments that are all deconstructed using a traditional cut & sew method.
The mastermind behind the brand is Chris Mena. Mena is a master of destruction and reconstruction. He is the pioneer in the luxury recycling industry. Mena uses patchwork as well as a completely deconstructed look with all his garments. Having made his first debut in New York Fashion Week, he immediately caught attention of many different outlets, including HighSnobiety, and later made an appearance on America’s Next Top Model (ANTM). With support from many different private clientele, Mena has been able to bring his brand to life, by creating custom garments worn by models and influencers around the globe.
From the Street is a project conceived by Chris Mena to put city waste to better use. Chris spent 3 years combing the 5 boroughs of NYC collecting fabric scraps and other discards, paying careful mind to note the exact location each scrap was collected from. The pieces were eventually merged and united into 28 unique garments, each with their own personalities within a realm of (very literally) street wear. We are grateful to carry a small capsule of this collection you can see below (image above links to mini documentary).
This Patchwork Utility Jacket is a reconstructed piece made from repurposed materials, blending military surplus fabrics, industrial textiles, and found patches. Designed with a cropped silhouette and short sleeves, it features a mix of textures and colors that highlight its deconstructed aesthetic. Functional details like exposed zippers, utility pockets, and stitched graphics add to its raw, utilitarian feel. A one-of-a-kind statement piece that reflects urban resilience and adaptability.
